Aisle containment had proven very effective in improving cooling efficiency because it prevents mixing of supply and exhaust air. However, most existing data centers are not perfect and have spaces between cabinets, different size rows and other challenges to proper containment. Cool Shield Barrier Panels fill gaps in server rows to allow full containment of aisles which have missing cabinets, uneven rows, columns or other openings. The barrier panels can square up rows so that hinged or sliding aisle end doors may be used. They can also be used as a low-cost opposing wall for single or “orphan rows”. Panels are constructed with the Cool Shield channel creating a frame for a clear or opaque insert panel. Specially designed feet allow the panels to be self standing.
Fills Gaps in Uneven Rows
Barrier panels are an efficient and attractive way to to align uneven rows and fill empty gaps. They are an ideal solution to ensure alignment when using doors and/or ceiling panels.
Sized to Be Stand in for Server Cabinet
Barrier panels can be made to the same height and width as server cabinets. They can serve as temporary fill until it is replaced with a new cabinet. Multiple panels can also be used for a more permanent wall across from “orphan rows”.
Multiple Insert Options
Barrier panels are fabricated with the sturdy Cool Shield channel surrounding a wide choice of inserts. Standard panels are a lightweight polycarbonate in clear, black or other color. Standard panel inserts feature very high fire ratings, ASTM E84 Class A and/or UL 94.
