Sliding Vertical Panels

The Cool Shield Sliding Vertical Panels is designed to provide the exceptional sealing capabilities and high aesthetics of a solid panel solution without restricting access to the cables or other items behind the containment panels.  In certain areas, it is required to have unrestricted access to overhead power busway.  Our sliding panel solution eliminates that issue. Since we can frame two overlapping panels, a technician can simply slide one of the panels over to reach through the containment area.  Once work is complete, the panel can be returned to the closed position for full containment.

Like a patio door in your home, two panels share a single frame and have a slight overlap in the middle.  Each panel can be slid over to fully overlap with the other panel. Our Cool Shield Double Channel features two parallel grooves so that each panel is fully framed in its own separate track.  The sliding panels themselves feature a rigid aluminum frame with twinwall polycarbonate inserts. We utilize a high-performance thermoplastic runner along the bottom to ensure smooth and easy sliding action.
