Cool Shield Manager is a comprehensive data center monitoring solution designed to safely optimize cooling efficiency and effectively manage power distribution. Efficiency solutions, such as aisle containment, can save thousands of dollars in energy costs. However, many sites are apprehensive about taking the steps to achieve those savings, such as raising set points or turning off cooling units. Monitoring environmental conditions during this process allows for gradual changes until efficiency is maximized.

When Cool Shield Manager is installed, it will auto-discover connected RPP, UPS, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, rack PDUs and environmental sensors which are on your network. The data can then be mapped to corresponding equipment via a 3D floor view of your data center. Equipment is color coded based on the current status. For example, a server cabinet with a temperature reading above the ASHRAE allowable range will display as red. This visualization gives an at-a-glance status of room conditions, energy usage and cooling performance.
