Modular Data Center Blocks

A highly secure modular data center block built using a pre-fabricated steel structure and leading power and cooling infrastructure. Designed for housing sensitive IT equipment, the building features high fire and thermal resistance with exceptional protection from the elements. A heavy-duty steel-beam frame provides the foundation for a modular building with 150 MPH wind ratings. The building is heavily insulated to protect sensitive electronics from harsh outdoor conditions. Standard building features include a tamper-proof double-wide entry door, fire suppression system, lighting and basic electrical. The modular data center blocks also feature 12″ raised floor system designed for accommodating HVAC piping.

The technical infrastructure of the data center blocks is designed to be highly reliable and efficient. Standard configurations include power and cooling for up to 8kW per cabinet with N+1 redundancy.  The infrastructure can be customized for higher load and redundancy levels. Chilled-water in-row cooling units provide precision cooling directly at the rack-level for scalability and high efficiency. DX air-cooled, economizer and free-cooling options are also available. UPS power protection is provided with modular, scalable rack-mounted modules for configurations up to 160 kVA. All power and cooling infrastructure include network connectivity for remotely monitoring and managing the data center environment.

The Modular Data Center Block solution is ideal for applications in which a small to medium-sized data center is required on-site but there is not suitable space within the buildings.  Chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, mining operations and other harsh environments are well-suited for a self-contained solution to house critical electronics. Hospitals, school districts, local government and other budget sensitive industries will find the cost of implementing the Modular Blocks more compelling than building a purpose-built traditional data center.
