Foundation MCR

The Liebert Foundation MCR (Mini-Computer Room) is a rack enclosure with integrated cooling and optional UPS protection, designed to ensure the long-term viability of IT equipment or other critical electronics. It is an ideal solution for non-traditional computer room spaces since the air inside the cabinet does not mix with outside air.

The Foundation MCR is a self-contained rack enclosure system that includes a load-sized, computer-grade air conditioner located at the bottom of the enclosure. The AC system supplys cool air for up to 2 kW of IT heat load. An optional top mount AC system can be added to double capacity to 4 kW. A back-up cooling system automatically activates if internal temperate exceeds threshold levels. This important feature protects electronics in the event of a power or AC failure. Power can be supplied and protected through an optional Liebert GXT on-line UPS or Liebert PSI line-interactive UPS.

      Data center managers who are serious about maximizing their cooling efficiency know that sealing all gaps is critical to maximize the effectiveness of their aisle containment solution.  It is common practice to use blanking panels to fill unused rack spaces.  Magnetic air dam cabinet skirts and barriers to seal the gap under server cabinets are often overlooked.
