Ideal for monitoring in real time the environmental conditions in the data center environment, RF Code’s completely wire-free approach to environmental monitoring is an affordable, flexible alternative to traditional wired environmental monitoring solutions. The small-profile sensors eliminate the hard-wired headache by offering a more efficient, flexible approach to tracking and alerting environmental conditions in real time. Use sensors on the front of server cabinets to ensure supply temperatures are within the recommended range. They can also be used to measure CRAC/CRAH supply and return air to recognize short cycling. Air-pressure sensors can be located in the supply plenum to identify low-pressure areas which may be causing hot spots.
Tags
All RF Code asset and sensor tags feature encoded radio transmissions, low power consumption for long battery life and reduced maintenance costs, and superior anti-collision technology for high-tag densities. Tags can include motion and tamper detection sensors, customizable beacon rates, and a broad variety of mounting and enclosure options.
Readers
RF Code’s product line of active readers are used in a variety of environments and situations. When deployed in concert with RF Code Active RFID tags, our readers give customers an unparalleled solution, from the rack-level, through the room-level, to the extended enterprise. Our readers are easily installed and work well in both wired and wireless network environments.
Software
The data from the wireless sensor network can integrate with Green Works data center monitoring software. Temperature and air-pressure data can be mapped to the data center floor layout for quick glance monitoring and real-time thermal imaging. Thresholds can be set to provide visual and electronic alerts for both warning and critical conditions.
